Meet The Team

Coach Reu
Reuel is our Director of high performance development and Founder of the REUTS brand and tennis Academy.
Reuel’s tennis story begins in Barbados where he began playing tennis at age 9 quickly rising to become a national junior champion. As a young teenager he began traveling and competing on the junior ITF tour with some of the best junior tennis players in the world. The challenges of elite Junior Tournaments such as the Orange Bowl, Rexona Cup and Jitic International helped prepare him for Division 1 College tennis. As Reuel’s love for competitive tennis grew, he found inspiration from one of his tennis heroes, Barbadian Tennis legend Martin Blackman. He knew that tennis would one day become a big part of his personal vision, career and life.
In 1997 Reuel earned a full Division 1 scholarship to Grambling State University where he received his Bachelors degree in Psychology. He later attended Louisiana Tech University and completed his Masters in Applied Psychology graduating Suma Cum Laude. Drawing from his college experience and advanced training, Reuel began executing his mission to design and develop optimized training systems for high-performing tennis athletes.
After college Reuel began coaching nationally ranked juniors and collegiate players. He expanded his coaching expertise through professional collaborations, specialized certifications including mental performance coaching.
In 2009, he moved to California, and married his wife Veronica Henry who is a Kings Academy Alumni and graduate of UC Berkeley. They are the proud parents of Judah and Arielle.
Together they lead the REUTS brand and tennis academy. Their vision is to train and develop competitive junior tennis players from ages 5 to 18 years old. Through the REUTS system they build, shape and sharpen students to successfully compete at the USTA, ITF, Varsity and Collegiate-Tour level.
